Tycoon: Rosmah not my 'mak angkat’...

“But she is one of my good friends,” said tycoon Taek Jho Lo, whose name has been linked to the controversial redevelopment of the military airport in Sungai Besi, Kuala Lumpur.

'NOT STEP MOM, JUST GOOD FRIENDS' ... Rosmah and Jho Lo

Jho Lo was responding to a question from Chinese daily Kwong Wah Yit Poh, asking about his relationship with prime minister Najib Razak’s wife Rosmah Mansor.

“I knew the children of the Prime Minister first, before I knew the prime minister. I introduce a lot of investors to Malaysia, that’s why I always meet with the prime minister,” said the 29-year old, as quoted by portal Merdeka Review.

Jho, who said he could bring in Arab investments into Malaysia, was quick to add that he also knew many other “princes” from countries such as UAE, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.

The mystery billionaire, who shot to limelight after pictures emerged of him partying with US celebrity Paris Hilton last year, was recently in Penang, Malaysia to join the 1Malaysia Charity Ride for Education 2011, a cycling event, last Sunday.

Last May PKR Youth chief Shamsul Iskandar Mat Akin challenged Najib to disclose details of the contract in the controversial Sungai Besi military base land sale, saying Jho Lo had close links to Najib, his wife as well as Najib's son, and was awarded a RM500 million contract for the development of the old airport.

“We want the MACC to find out where he got his wealth. We also want to know how he linked up with our political bigwigs,” urged Shamsul. harakah
